For the past year, the boys have been learning to talk. They are getting quite good at it and they are now speaking in simple sentences. Along the way, there has been a few times where the words didn't quite come out the way that they should have. For example, the word crab, came out crap. The word starfish, came out starbitch. And Alex, the oldest of the triplets would say that he ate with his fingers, well check out this video.
My Fingers
Now that the boys are starting to talk, we are now in the stage that they never shut up. Our house is a state of constant noise. While it gets loud and crazy sometimes, I will admit that my heart sings when I hear them calling to each other and playing together or asking if they are o.k. when one falls to the floor.
When my ten year old was about this age, he used to say "kitties" and it came out "titties". The was a lot of fun to make him say "kitties". Especially when he told us that he loved his Oma's "titties".
What kind of things have your kids said that came out just a little bit wrong?
A regular guy who found himself in extraordinary circumstances. Having triplets changes ones life. This blog is about some of those experiences and tips for other parents of multiples. I would not have traded this experience for anything in the world, and yet at the same time, if someone tells me that they would like to have triplets, I don't recommend it. It's a ton of work.

Finding Time
As a father of triplets, who are 2 and a half right now, it's hard to find time to write about the experience. I am going to be intentional about writing here about my experiences and other topic that I feel are important.
Life right now is absolutely crazy. The boys are in a phase of non-stop noise making. Noise is either made by their mouths, or the toys that they play with. When they aren't making noise, then they are usually into something that they shouldn't be. It's like having constant white noise while you are doing everything. For example, at dinner the other night, I had one of the boys just making a clicking sound with his mouth, another standing on his chair, (of course he is the accident prone one) and one naming the people around the table telling us who all poops. Quite often I have to sit back and just laugh and enjoy the ride for my own sanity.
I don't pretend that we have it worse of then other parents, because I know that parenting has its challenges no matter how many children you have and what ages they are. I do know that my wife Kelly and I are in a different situation then most parents. Having triplets has a unique set of challenges that are hard to explain to the other parents. Most people can imagine what it's like to have 3 two year olds around, and yet their imagination doesn't think about the never endingness of the two year olds. That is the most challenging of the triplets is that the craziness never seems to end.
I love the boys. I would not change the situation that I am in. I can't imagine what it would be like to not have them. That being said, if you are thinking about having triplets, I don't necessarily recommend that ;)
